The couple were found dead huddling with five of their dogs – all of which died in the floods. The sole canine survivor drew the attention of the rescuers with its barks. The story that the loyal dogs guarded the owners with their lives has moved many people – and the surviving husky was inundated with owners hoping to adopt him.
