The manufactureres guidance on measuring for this collar: "To ensure a proper fit of a collar, you should measure the circumference of the animal's neck, we then add 4" to the neck measurement to get the collar size" e.g. If the dog's neck measures 18" then a 22" Hotdogs collar would be required.
Please note that we give you further information here on the collar sizing as there is a change in the placement of the buckle on collars greater than 16". Here we have measured the circumference of the collars for you once fastened on the 1st hole, and the last hole - as you will see, the 18" collar is actually smaller then the 16" collar! :
